Its about time I brought up the A-Bomb again. The A word that is everybody’s favorite polarizing political talking point: Abortion! If you haven’t already, please review my opinion on this issue.
I was reading an article (and here) on how bans on abortion don’t actually decrease the amount of abortions actually occurring. Based on the [...]

Way to go Norwegians!
I need to go on the record as saying that I’m not in favor of Obama being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. There are so many many reasons why I think it was a bad idea. Please enjoy a nice little list of those reasons as said by various news outlets and [...]

“It seems, as one becomes older,
That the past has another pattern, and ceases to be a mere sequence—
Or even development: the latter a partial fallacy
Encouraged by superficial notions of evolution,
Which becomes, in the popular mind, a means of disowning the past.
The moments of happiness—not the sense of well-being,
Fruition, fulfilment, security or affection,
Or even a very [...]

This Fourth of July I had the extreme pleasure of going to the world premiere of Islam in America, the latest project of Dr. Akbar Ahmed and his wonderful team of motivated youngsters. The film takes a look at the various Muslim communities across America, from big cities in the East to small towns in [...]

A few days ago, an abortion doctor who was a feminist hero to some and baby-killer to others was shot while serving as an usher at his church. The shooting is a blow to Pro-Life supporters, besmirching their campaign, painting them zealots who need only the slightest push to cross the line into violence. There [...]

This blog post comes to you from a lengthy discussion via Facebook about a chain letter that was sent around. And you know, I just had to comment on it.
When Chain Letters Get Political
The original letter claims to have been written by a Canadian Christian woman. Here are the relevant excerpts from the chain letter [...]

I hope I’m not getting too excited too early, but Obama is already making detailed plans to undo some key Bush policies. That may be a clear indicator of partisanship on my behalf to some, but really I see it as a big step forward for American leadership.
The priorities, as listed by the BBC are [...]

The day of the election, I woke up knowing that I would hardly be able to focus on any of my responsibilities for the day. It was dark and rainy, and I had neglected to bring my umbrella with me. I was preparing myself for what I would do if John McCain won the election. [...]

I wanted to write a nice coherent blog post tonight, but its not happening. All I can say is that I am going to enjoy this nice feeling for a few days before I look at the hard challenges ahead.
Party on, America. We all have something to be proud of tonight.

As you may have heard, Colin Powell has come out and endorsed Obama over McCain. I don’t think the endorsement itself will do much in terms of gaining votes among undecided voters, but I could be wrong. I think the best thing about the endorsement is what Powell said about all the rumors surrounding Obama.
President [...]
